Job Summary
A large, well-established Real Estate Development and Property Management company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for residential apartment communities in the Greater Boston/Middlesex County area.
The Maintenance Technician will assist with daily property maintenance, resident service requests, apartment repairs, turnovers, common area upkeep, and general building support. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and able to complete quality work in a timely and professional manner.
Candidates considered at the higher end of the pay range should have strong residential maintenance experience, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, painting, flooring, and apartment turnover experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform apartment and common area repairs
- Assist with apartment turnovers and make-ready work
- Perform general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliance repairs
- Assist with HVAC, boiler, and mechanical maintenance as needed
- Maintain building interiors, exteriors, grounds, and common areas
- Report larger repair issues or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Work with vendors and other maintenance staff as needed
- Participate in snow removal and weather-related property needs
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs and on-call coverage as scheduled
- Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in an organized manner
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Prior residential maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred
- Hands-on repair experience in plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and appliances preferred
- HVAC, boiler, or mechanical experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
