Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. Your expertise in operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks, will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and safe handling practices. Duties
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo lifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and barcode scanning systems for logistics accuracy.
- Pick orders accurately using order picker machines and manual methods to fulfill customer and internal requests.
- Manage inventory by conducting regular cycle counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and maintaining precise stock levels.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming/outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and documenting transactions thoroughly.
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of all heavy equipment.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols during manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or materials that require careful handling to prevent injuries.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas, ensuring proper pallet stacking, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow efficiency and uphold safety standards across all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo lifts, or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards in production environments related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving materials with precision.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory data accurately.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes along with experience in warehouse distribution environments.
- Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
