Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms.
- Upsell menu items such as wines, specialty cocktails, or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting stations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing multiple tables seamlessly.
- Assist with food handling, basic math calculations for bills, and processing cash transactions efficiently.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Support team members during busy hours by managing guest needs with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurants is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and high standards of service.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is desirable for elevating guest experiences.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
- Basic math skills for handling bills accurately and processing sales transactions smoothly.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices ensures compliance with health regulations.
