Thrive is looking for a high quality Medical Assistant to become a part of our wonderful team of staff and providers.
Nurses and Medical Assistants are the extensions of our Providers and valuable members of our Care Team. Requirements for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Certified MA, LPN, or RN in good standing
- Strong Customer Service focus
- Effective Verbal and Written communication skills
- Teamwork Orientation
- Organized and able to meet competing priorities
- Good judgement and resourcefulness in problem solving
- Conscientious completion and accountability for delegated tasks such as:
- Staging of patients in preparation for patients to see Providers
- Record vital signs on all patients accurately and according to practice protocol
- Update all patient medications accurately at each visit
- Actively engage patients to determine reasons for visits, calls, communications
- Perform patient related tasks as directed by practice providers including perform immunizations, perform lab tests, perform EKGs, clean and sterilize instruments, stock patient rooms, inventory and order supplies, and other duties as assigned per practice protocol
- Provide clinical advice to patients by phone or secure patient messaging per practice protocol or provider communication
- Ensure necessary medical records are available to providers prior to patient office visits
- Scheduling patient visits according to patient needs and office protocol
- Assistance with front office duties including patient check-in/out, scheduling, answering phones, clerical duties
- Complete training and continuing medical education as required by licensing, certification and/or practice
- Coordination with other team members to provide exceptional patient service
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Valid Licensing or Certification for clinical position required
Preferred Skills
Strong Clinical Skills, Attention to Detail. Conscientious, Commitment to Customer Service, EMR/computer skills.
