We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the well-being of individuals and families, particularly those facing mental health challenges. This role involves providing support, counseling, and advocacy to clients, ensuring they receive the resources and services they need to thrive. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide mental health counseling and support for clients dealing with PTSD, trauma, and other mental health issues.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote healing and community among clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate services for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in accordance with ICD-9 standards.
- Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in social work and mental health care.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources, including special education services when applicable.
- Utilize knowledge of psychopharmacology to assist clients in understanding their medication regimens.
Experience
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Strong background in mental health counseling and group therapy techniques.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of special education systems and resources is beneficial.
- Proficiency in understanding ICD-9 coding as it relates to client documentation is essential.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Pay: $68,239.00 - $72,700.00 per year
