Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and documentation procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
- Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure clients' health stability
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment safely to prevent injury
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist clients during meal times to promote social engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping duties and adherence to infection control protocols
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities in home settings or personal care homes
- Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and manual handling safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients’ families, and healthcare professionals
- Flexibility to adapt to various shifts and a proactive approach to caregiving duties
- Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation and client record keeping

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
