Job Summary
The 1888 Facilities Management LLC is seeking a Facilities & Turnover Support Technician to support daily operations at The 1888 Hotel. This role is responsible for executing guest room turnovers, performing basic maintenance and repair tasks, and assisting with scheduled maintenance and CapEx projects.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused position ideal for someone comfortable performing cleaning, turnover maintenance, and physical labor in a hotel environment.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel housekeeping, facilities, or maintenance preferred
- Prior housekeeping or maintenance experience required
- Maintenance experience is required and will be evaluated during onboarding
- Pay within the posted range is based on experience, reliability, and performance
Physical Requirements
- Flexible hours based on operational needs
- Medium work — exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift
Core Responsibilities: Turnover & Housekeeping Support
- Thoroughly clean guest rooms according to company standards
- Complete all pre-cleaning and post-cleaning duties
- Meet defined cleaning time windows for studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and larger units
- Assist the housekeeping team during high-volume turnover days
Turnover Maintenance
- Identify and complete turnover punch-list items discovered during cleans
- Perform basic repairs including fixture replacement, drywall patching, paint touch-ups, hardware adjustments, and minor plumbing resets
- Reset units to guest-ready condition prior to check-in
- Report any issues outside scope immediately to leadership
Maintenance & CapEx Support
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
- Assist with CapEx and improvement projects (prep work, staging, cleanup, installations)
- Provide maintenance coverage on General Manager off-days according to SOPs
General Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines
- Must follow all hotel standards, SOPs, and safety procedures
- Must adopt and use required technology tools (smartphone required for task management apps)
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Maintain regular attendance based on scheduled work scopes
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Transportation Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
- Must have reliable personal vehicle
- Must maintain valid auto insurance
- Ability to travel between properties as required
Schedule Expectations
- Part-time role with variable hours based on turnover volume and maintenance scope
- Most work occurs Friday–Tuesday
- Hours are not guaranteed and may vary week to week
- This role does not include on-call expectations outside scheduled scopes
