Nexova is seeking a proactive and experienced Community Association Manager to oversee the operations of assigned homeowner associations.
You will serve as the primary liaison between Boards of Directors, homeowners, vendors, committee members, and Nexova’s internal teams. The ideal candidate understands California HOA operations, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple communities and priorities with a high level of ownership.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the administrative, financial, and operational needs of assigned communities in accordance with management agreements and community policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Boards of Directors, homeowners, vendors, and committee members.
- Execute Board directives within the scope of the management agreement.
- Maintain community calendars, action-item trackers, meeting records, resolutions, budgets, contracts, and other association documents.
- Prepare and distribute Board meeting agendas, management reports, financial summaries, and meeting packets.
- Attend Board meetings and community functions as required.
- Track Board decisions and action items through completion.
- Review monthly financial statements and provide clear summaries to the Board.
- Manage delinquency tracking, collections coordination, and accounts payable workflows.
- Advise Boards and committees on capital projects, maintenance needs, and operational priorities.
- Manage vendor procurement, proposals, contracts, scheduling, and performance.
- Coordinate property inspections, maintenance requests, architectural applications, and special projects.
- Keep the Board informed of legal matters, claims, and other material issues involving the Association.
- Maintain accurate resident, vendor, financial, and association records in Nexova’s systems.
- Supervise on-site staff when required by the management agreement.
- Collect and communicate community feedback to Nexova’s leadership team.
- Use Nexova’s AI-powered tools to improve service quality, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Occasional community events and property visits may be required
Compensation
- Starting at $80,000 per year
- Final compensation is based on direct community association management experience, credentials, and portfolio responsibilities

Requirements
- One to three years of direct community association or HOA management experience.
- Strong understanding of HOA operations and the respective roles of the Board, Community Association Manager, and management company.
- Experience managing Board communications, vendors, maintenance matters, financial workflows, and homeowner concerns.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Strong business writing, verbal communication, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to review financial statements and clearly communicate important findings.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize time-sensitive matters and manage multiple communities with limited supervision.
- Comfort using HOA software, cloud-based systems, mobile applications, and AI-powered tools.
- A proactive, collaborative, and community-first mindset.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with California community association operations.
- CMCA, CCAM, AMS, PCAM, or comparable industry credentials.
- Experience with architectural reviews, collections, accounts payable, capital projects, and property inspections.
- Experience supervising on-site employees or coordinating large vendor projects.
