Dining Host - Part Time - Cornell Hospital - Rotating Shifts
Graciously serve food and beverages to patients, staff and visitors at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Assist guests in the selection of meals that are compliant with dietary restrictions. Articulate offerings on menu and specials to guests with appropriate descriptions. Monitors equipment, flatware, plateware, and glassware prior to service for cleanliness and presentation. Demonstrate exceptional skills in promoting various menu items, taking and reciting orders, and providing friendly, helpful customer service.
This is a part time position, requiring rotating shifts and every weekend/holiday coverage.
Preferred Criteria
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficiently to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests to explain and record orders
Ability to repeatedly transport large serving trays weighing up to 40 pounds through crowded areas
