Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare assistant to join our team. As a Childcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires experience working with children and a passion for early childhood education.
Child Care Position Requirements:
Child care assistants overall responsibilities will be to oversee the
activities of the children and ensure their safety. More specifically
some of the duties may include:
Helping children with personal hygiene
Changing diapers
Maintaining cleanliness in activity areas
Reading to toddlers and young children
Providing mental stimulation to babies and toddlers through games and activities
Perform morning circle time with children
Assisting with with classroom preschool learning curriculum
Helping with homework to school age kids
Preparing and serving nutritious meals
Provide emotional support
Transporting school age children to and from school
Cleaning and organizing throughout child care facility as required
including following sanitizing procedures
Responsibilities:
- Educate and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Provide attentive care and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement daily routines and schedules to promote structure and consistency
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and educational activities
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with other childcare providers to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Skills:
- Previous experience working in childcare or related field
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
- Basic caregiving skills, including diaper changing, potty training, and assisting with personal hygiene routines
We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- After school
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
