Since 1977, Sea School has been at the forefront of maritime training, serving an array of clients from shipping companies to military defense contractors, and more. We specialize in U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Communications Commission approved courses. We are looking for instructors who can become qualified to teach various STCW courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct USCG-approved courses including off-site practical assessments
- Deliver engaging and accurate instruction in accordance with Sea School standards and USCG regulations
- Prepare classrooms, maintain attendance records, and assess practical portions of classes
- Communicate effectively with Sea School operations team to coordinate logistics and scheduling
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused learning environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current or former U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) appropriate to the courses assigned
- Demonstrated experience in the operational areas related to the courses taught
- Experience in vessel operations, emergency response, drills, firefighting, survival craft, or leadership
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
