Overview
Join our manufacturing team as a Machine Operator and become a vital part of our food production process! The ideal candidate understands how to operate multiple packaging machines to help production run smoothly and efficiently. Furthermore, the ideal candidate can make minor adjustments to the machine to pass all quality checks and throughput requirements. Able to run a crew of 2-4 members to keep line running efficiently and first pass quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Attends all safety training and complies with OSHA and warehouse safety standards.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward the company, job, and team.
- Performs quality checks on production materials to ensure that all Bill of Materials and customer requirements are met.
- Understands all cleaning procedures and performs cleaning and sanitizing to ensure audit readiness.
- Assists with daily machine set up and regular changeovers.
- Reports problems to Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Performs all start-up and shut down procedures for the equipment in the facility.
- Conducts hand-offs with the next operator during shift changes.
- Completes all regularly timed production paperwork and quality checks.
- Communicates with supervisor on upcoming orders.
- Communicates with Inventory Lead/Floor Lead to ensure that all Bill of Material items are correctly staged for packing
- Reads and understands work orders and labeling processes.
- Able to operate all machines proficiently to meet or exceed quality and throughput requirements.
- Maintains and enforces safety and quality standards/procedures in the machine area.
- Responsible for adhering to Good Manufacturing Processes, including wearing smocks / aprons, hair nets, etc.. Leads by example.
- Performs additional production floor tasks outside of day-to-day responsibilities to maximize team efficiency, as needed.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist in packaging finished products for shipment.
Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Experience operating various factory equipment including packaging lines and conveyance systems
- Ability to use hand tools when required
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility with a focus on quality control standards.
- Strong safety and food safety awareness with adherence to factory protocols;

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
