About the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Aspire Senior Living Moberly, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. You will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to design and implement personalized therapy plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being. Our residents will benefit from your expertise in areas such as:
- Occupational Therapy Services: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote independence and self-care.
- Patient-Centered Care: Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Design and implement creative, evidence-based interventions to address cognitive, physical, and emotional needs.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists with patient assessments, goal setting, and treatment planning
- Implement and modify occupational therapy interventions to meet individual resident needs
- Monitor and record resident progress, making adjustments as needed
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, family members, and residents
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies
- Previous experience as a COTA or in a related field preferred
Work Environment:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work a variable schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends
