Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating wounds, preventing complications, and promoting healing.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills, as well as leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
- Perform dressing changes and wound care, monitor lab reports for incidence of infection, and evaluate causative factors and problems.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on wound care and prevention.
- Monitor and follow up on all ulcers and incisions, documenting and communicating with physicians and families as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
- Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
- Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
Physical Demands:
This position will require physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask is essential.
