Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Experience with different types of trucks, including tankers, dump trucks, and flatbeds, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Operate various Tactor and F550 w/ flatbeds.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Load and unload cargo safely while ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in route driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Experience handling freight in construction.
- Ability to operate flatbed trucks and perform securement of loads.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
