Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Provide friendly, attentive service throughout the guest’s dining experience, ensuring all needs are met promptly.
- Take and relay accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle guest inquiries with professionalism, including phone etiquette and guest relations, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in setting up dining areas, managing cleanliness standards, and resetting tables for new guests.
- Support team members during busy hours by serving food and beverages when needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Experience
- Prior host/hostess experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest services, and restaurant operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Previous hotel or guest services experience can be beneficial in delivering exceptional customer care.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
