Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy services, including behavioral health interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up appointments, adjusting medications or therapies as needed while maintaining detailed medical documentation.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing psychiatric care practices.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations across settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner; telehealth experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication management regulations including DEA compliance.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health assessment tools and diagnostic coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Experience with acute care environments like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous; familiarity with hospital medicine and emergency medicine settings is a plus.
- Skills in patient assessment, crisis intervention, triage procedures, and coordination of care for individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Additional expertise in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), substance use disorders, or dementia care is preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
