Preferred Qualifications:

Friendly personality with a desire to serve children

A team player who is willing to assist other food service employees and school staff members with numerous and varying tasks

Ability to multitask

Ability to work under the direction of a lead person

Previous Food Service experience is helpful but NOT required

Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures

ServSafe certification/desire to be ServSafe certified
Position Summary:
-
Maintain an acceptable standard of personal hygiene following HACCP procedures
-
Interact positively with students, staff, and parents
-
Assist in proactive identification of areas in which to improve operations
-
Ability to retrieve supplies from freezer, cooler, and storeroom
-
Follow proper lifting techniques and can lift up to 40 pounds
-
Ability to cook various menu items and prepare salad/fresh fruit, and vegetable bar using HACCP procedures
-
Ability to handle money accurately and have knowledge of a Point of Service System
-
Ability to coordinate production records as required by the Nutrition Service Director or Manager
-
Ability to assist with clean up and sanitation according to HACCP procedures
-
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person

This position requires regular and reliable in-person attendance
Hours: Expected to work the school year calendar up to 12 hours 2 days a week—schedule to be determined.
