Overview
Plan B Transportation Corp. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and freight operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, maintaining transportation documentation, and ensuring freight is delivered safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment and has excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily freight shipments and transportation schedules
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, customers, and carriers regarding shipment status and delivery updates
- Monitor load progress and resolve transportation issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain bills of lading, rate confirmations, invoices, and shipment records
- Assist with dispatch operations and route planning to maximize efficiency
- Track shipment performance and prepare operational reports
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service while handling transportation inquiries
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight coordination, dispatching, or supply chain operations preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), DAT Load Board, Truckstop, or similar logistics platforms
- Knowledge of freight operations, carrier management, and transportation scheduling
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and industry compliance requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus
