American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Psychiatric/Behavioral Health position in Holyoke, MA, requiring inpatient psych experience and a current MA RN license.

Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting across five units (adult, geriatric, and pediatric)
-
104 total beds: two adult units (24 beds each), one geriatric unit (24 beds), and one pediatric unit (12 beds)
-
Patient population includes adults, geriatric patients, and pediatric patients ages 5–17
-
Variable patient ratio of 1:8 (lower ratios on geriatric and pediatric units)
-
Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety
-
Uses Cerner EHR
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No call requirements

Floating required

13-week contract

Active MA RN license required

Current AHA BLS certification required

ACLS preferred

Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required

Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations

Associate's degree in nursing (ADN), nursing diploma, or BSN from an accredited program required

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation through the nursing process

Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff

Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians, nursing supervisors, and co-workers as appropriate

Participates in the discharge planning process

Supervision provided by shift supervisors only

Blue scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
