The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville is looking for fulltime Golf Course Grounds Equipment Operator.
We are seeking motivated individuals for the Greens and Grounds team. Individuals will be accountable for the overall care and maintenance of the golf course equipment and grounds related areas. Beginning pay is standard. Pay will be based off experience.
Abouts us: The Orchard Golf & Country Club features 18 holes of golf, a driving range, swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and is open six days per week. Situated next to the Chattahoochee National Forest at the base of the Appalachian Mountains, The Orchard Golf & Country Club is nestled amid apple orchards, annual flowering trees, shrubs, and cool running mountain streams. The creeks that wind throughout the property.
Duties & Requirements: You will perform routine golf course operational procedures and maintenance to perform routine maintenance practices, and to become familiar with preventive maintenance practices on equipment. You will also be expected to assist in special projects as well as perform daily routine tasks. Experience in golf course maintenance, commercial landscaping and commercial mowers is a plus, but not required. Manual labor is required within the position. Must be able do the essential functions of the job for long periods of time and work under stress during busy times.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and navigate a variety of terrain on the property.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Some holidays and alternating weekends will be required.
Qualifications:
-1+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and general maintenance
- Experience with heavy machinery
