Job Description
LOA is seeking a highly skilled and student-centered High School Dean of Students who understands the importance of personal responsibility, honesty, grit, determination, and positive relationships. The successful candidate will support students in grades 9-12 through proactive behavior management, attendance support, student engagement, and collaboration with families and staff.
Applicants should, at a minimum:
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

3-5 years of experience working with secondary students preferred.

Experience in student discipline, counseling, behavior support, coaching, or school leadership preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Student Culture and Support

Promote a positive high school culture by reinforcing expectations, supporting student behavior, and fostering student engagement.

Address behavioral, attendance, and student support concerns in collaboration with students, families, teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Administer student discipline, monitor attendance interventions, and maintain a visible presence throughout the school day and at school events.
Support student activities, leadership opportunities, recognitions, graduation, and other school traditions.

Salary/Terms
190-day contract; salary based on certification and experience.
