The basic functions of the EMT is to provide non-emergency and emergency transportation utilizing the knowledge and skills learned in EMT-B courses.
The EMT-B:

functions in uncommon situations

has basic understanding of stress response

has understanding of BSI (Body Substance Isolation)

understand basic medical-legal principles

functions within scope of care as defined by the state of Illinois.
Qualifications

Valid drivers license
-
Valid Illinois EMT licence

Valid AHA CPR card
