Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, high-energy Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes accurately, efficiently, and consistently. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a clean and organized station under pressure, and takes pride in every plate that leaves the line.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution & Consistency: Prepare, season, and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
- Station Management: Set up, stock, and break down designated kitchen stations (e.g., grill, sauté, fry, prep) daily. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly rotated (FIFO).
- Speed & Efficiency: Work cleanly and quickly to meet ticket times during peak high-volume rushes without compromising quality.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain strict adherence to local health department codes, food safety regulations, and company sanitation standards. Keep work surfaces, utensils, and equipment spotless.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with ticket callers, fellow line cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred.
- Technical Skill: Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of various cooking techniques, temperatures, and station equipment.
- Stamina & Pace: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work efficiently in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Attitude: A team-first mindset, strong work ethic, and coachable attitude.
