Duties
- Prepare ingredients by slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and standards
- Assist with cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Operate kitchen appliances such as knives, mixers, fryers, and ovens safely and efficiently
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, sanitation, and food safety management
- Support the team with meal preparation for service periods and catering events as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and uphold recipe adherence
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant, or culinary environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills with slicing technique proficiency
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and operating kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
