We are seeking a high-level educator for students in Upper Elementary and Middle School (ages 11-14). At this stage, our goal is to transition from simple reading comprehension to critical analysis. We need a mentor who can bridge literature with history and social studies to help our children develop a sophisticated worldview.

- Historical Insight: The ability to explain the "why" behind the story by connecting it to historical milestones.
- Analytical Discussion: Moving beyond "What happened?" to "Why does this matter?" and "How does this relate to today's world?"
- Essay Mentorship: Guiding students to write persuasive, expository, and narrative essays with clear thesis statements and logical evidence.
- Intellectual Curiosity: A mentor who treats children as young intellectuals and encourages healthy debate.

- Upper Elementary: Developing a "deep reading" habit and learning to express opinions with supporting reasons.
- Middle School: Mastering structural writing, understanding rhetorical devices, and debating complex moral/historical dilemmas.
Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
