1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
This position works independently and is responsible for the completion of engineering projects or field failure solutions within the definitions of the airframe manufacturer and airline specifications and within engineering budget and schedules. Works and makes decisions independently with little supervision.
2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

Main Function Responsibilities:
A) Design seats and seat components.
B) Responsible for the completion and release of engineering documents: parts list and engineering drawing.
C) Responsible for completing root cause analysis and solutions on field failures.
D) Coordinate the engineering of a project with the airframe manufacturer and the customer.
E) Attend first article inspections and monitor the completion of the required resolutions.
F) Liaise with stress, materials and processing, purchasing, manufacturing, prototype shop.
G) Mentor engineering personnel in the specialized aspects of the product.
H) Liaise with quality assurance and manufacturing departments to disposition of non-conforming articles.
I) Provides and maintains engineering schedules.
J) Provide engineering support to all departments.
K) Performs other duties as assigned.
3. Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree)
- Must have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree.
