Position: Assisted Living Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist
Work Environment: This is a fully remote position offering flexibility while maintaining alignment with facility and corporate billing timelines.
Summary/Objective:
The Assisted Living Accounts Receivable (AR) Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate review, billing, and collection of all outstanding accounts receivable. This role ensures the collection of all non-private funds due to the facility on a monthly basis.
The AR Billing Specialist works closely with the facility's Business Office staff to verify authorizations, Medicaid eligibility, and census accuracy. Responsibilities also include posting all payments received into PCC for both private and non-insurance deposits. This position collaborates with the corporate billing team and may provide support to other facilities as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain working knowledge of relevant computer software and internet applications.
- Respond to resident billing inquiries and assist with private pay refunds.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of resident ancillary charges and services.
- Ensure all proprietary, financial, and resident information is handled with strict confidentiality.
- Uphold confidentiality standards for all office records and restricted information.
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years min Wisconsin ALF billing experience.
- Experience needs to be in Medicaid and Managed Medicaid, and should include Managed Care. Medicare experience in addition to the above is a plus.
- Proficient in using PCC.
- Proficient in using Inovalon/Ability as a clearinghouse.
- Confident in uploading claims to Forward Health.
- Knowledge of Medicaid forms needed for admission, payer change, status change in Wisconsin.
- Ability to post cash in PCC.
- PCC Trust experience.
- Excel ability to run reports, sort items, etc., from PCC.
- Managed Medicaid portals and how to navigate them.
Pay: $58,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
