Job Summary
Kiddos Early Learning Center (KELC) is a vibrant, modern early childhood program in Buckhead, Atlanta, where connection-based learning meets colorful, joyful play. We're a close-knit "framily" of teachers, staff, and families working together to help every child leave their own unique stamp on the world — and we need a dependable evening Custodian to help keep our classrooms sparkling clean and ready for the next day of adventures.
Every evening after our little learners head home, our Custodian steps in to reset the building — wiping down tables where finger-painting happened, sanitizing the block corner, and making sure everything is fresh, safe, and ready for a brand-new day of learning. This is a part-time position, 3 days per week (exact days TBD), 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM, at $18.00 per hour.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas each evening
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the center
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces — doorknobs, tables, toys, and more
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Director
- Lock up and ensure the building is secure at the end of your shift
Qualifications
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in a job well done
- Comfortable working independently during evening hours
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required — we'll train the right person
- Must be able to pass a background check (standard for anyone working in a childcare facility)
- A genuine care for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space for young children
Important: This is a part-time, 3-day-per-week position. Exact working days will be confirmed with the selected candidate; shifts run 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
