We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer in the GA-EMS Systems Engineering department, located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The candidate with previous Systems Engineering experience, with working knowledge of MBSE and requirements development, is responsible for evaluating and updating requirements first established for the U.S. Navy Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) programs and adapting those requirements for design enhancements or to align with foreign customer requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical analyses and judgement, using a Systems Engineering approach, for the development of a new configuration of the ALRE systems for a foreign customer.
- Coordinate and interface with customers, contractors, engineering groups, and other business sectors within the organization.
- Utilize requirements management tools Cameo Systems Modeler, CATIA Magic, and/or DOORS to support requirements development/management and component specifications.
- Perform system analysis and generate system, sub-system, component, and software requirements to disseminate among hardware, firmware, and software design architects.
- Support verification and validation efforts with analyses and coordination with Test teams for qualification testing.
- Develop and present technical material for design reviews, including speaking with customers.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to update design requirements, constraints, and traceability.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Execute work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
