Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and Bilingual (English/Spanish) Scheduling and Staffing Coordinator to join our home health agency team in Jenkintown, PA. In this role, you will serve as the primary link between our clients and our field staff, ensuring seamless care delivery by matching the right caregivers with the right clients across the local area.
The ideal candidate must have direct experience working in the home health industry (specifically with Home Health Aides/HHAs) and a proven track record in high-volume healthcare staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and maintain daily/weekly schedules for field staff (HHAs, CNAs, and nurses) using our agency management system.
- Match caregivers with clients based on geographic location in the greater Jenkintown/Montgomery County area, clinical needs, scheduling availability, and language preferences.
- Serve as the main point of contact for bilingual clients and field staff, effectively communicating schedule changes, instructions, and updates in both English and Spanish.
- Monitor caregiver attendance, handle call-outs swiftly, and secure immediate coverage to prevent disruptions in client care.
- Participate in the onboarding and training process of new caregivers, ensuring they understand scheduling expectations and agency protocols.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic documentation of all schedules, caregiver availability, and client preferences.
- Collaborate closely with clinical supervisors and intake coordinators to seamlessly transition new clients onto the active schedule.
Qualifications & Experience (Required)
- Bilingual Proficiency: Must be fully fluent in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish.
- Home Health Agency Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working directly within a home care or home health setting.
- Staffing/Scheduling Experience: Proven experience managing complex schedules or high-volume staffing in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Home Health Aide (HHA) roles, regulations, and caregiver dynamics.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills, including experience with home health scheduling software (e.g., HHAeXchange, AlayaCare, MatrixCare) and Microsoft Office.
