Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, and disposal in accordance with safety protocols
- Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health standards and ensure a hygienic environment
- Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting or manual handling of supplies and equipment to prevent injuries
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or hazards promptly to ensure ongoing safety and cleanliness
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and facility upkeep
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues effectively
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is a plus; training will be provided for specific equipment or procedures
