Position Overview:
The Shift Manager works under the direction of the Restaurant Manager. They work directly with team members and operate shifts in a restaurant. As a Shift Manager, there are multiple levels of responsibility and development. Progression through these levels is based on demonstrated skills, experience, and operational knowledge.
Profitability

Follows all cash control and security procedures (e.g., safe counts and cash drawer management)

Maintains inventory by performing daily and weekly inventory inspections

Receives and verifies inventory truck orders
Guest

Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations by providing accurate, fast, and friendly service in a clean environment
People

Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members to strengthen team capabilities and improve restaurant performance
Operations

Sets a positive example for Team Members by executing shift plans and driving operational results

Directs the efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to ensure prompt delivery within established speed-of-service guidelines

Motivates Team Members throughout the shift across all workstations

Reviews restaurant results to identify successes and opportunities for improvement

Ensures the restaurant consistently upholds operational and brand standards
Qualifications and Skills:

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

High school diploma or GED required; two (2) years of college preferred
-
One to two (1–2) years of previous quick-service restaurant experience
-
Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles

Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
-
Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed to support restaurant operations
