Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress regularly using assessments, standardized testing data, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates on student performance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support differentiated instruction and meet diverse learning styles.
- Support early intervention strategies for students with special needs or those requiring additional academic or behavioral support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and student progress in compliance with educational regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational philosophies as applicable.
Skills
- Proven experience teaching young children in elementary or early childhood settings with strong classroom management skills.
- Expertise in curriculum implementation across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and individual needs including children with autism or those requiring special education services.
- Proficiency in integrating educational technology and learning tools into daily lessons for enhanced student engagement.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team-based teaching approaches.
- Strong writing skills for lesson planning documentation, reports, and instructional materials.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds in private school environments or similar settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles along with behavior management techniques that promote positive classroom culture.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and data analysis for monitoring student performance trends.
- Ability to mentor new teachers or teaching assistants while fostering a collaborative team environment.
