Part-Time Kitchen Cook (Potential for Full-Time Hours)
Starting Pay: $15/hour
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking part-time kitchen cook with the flexibility to work full-time hours when needed. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and are eager to learn Korean cuisine, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep work
- Cook Korean dishes according to our recipes and standards
- Make sushi rolls
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Work efficiently while keeping a clean workstation
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience is required
- Basic knife skills and food preparation experience
- Experience making sushi rolls
- Willingness to learn Korean cooking techniques (we will provide training)
- Fast learner with good common sense
- Clean, organized, and able to work efficiently in a team environment
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work additional hours or full-time when needed
Interview Skills Assessment
As part of the interview, applicants will complete a hands-on skills assessment. You should be prepared to demonstrate:
- Dishwashing and kitchen organization
- Vegetable cutting and knife skills
- Making a sushi roll
Hiring decisions may be made on the day of the interview based on your performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish is highly preferred and considered a valuable asset.
