Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a delicious drink in hand. Your role will also involve maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling and preparation.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and improve service skills.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in cafés or coffee shops.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices related to food handling and preparation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality are essential for success in this role.
- A passion for coffee and beverages, along with a willingness to learn about new products and techniques.
