Izy Global Services LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Technical Writer / Program Support Specialist to provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to the Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACO) at II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (II MSB), Camp Lejeune, NC.
You will be the day-to-day administrative backbone of the unit's Substance Abuse Program — supporting drug testing operations, compiling program data, drafting reports, and keeping records audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform logistical preparation for drug testing events: print specimen labels, reserve and prepare testing facilities, and organize supplies
- Compile program data and metrics; draft reports for SACO review and command presentation
- Assist Urinalysis Program Coordinators (UPCs) with drug testing software portals
- Coordinate with the drug testing lab and installation Drug Demand Reduction Coordinator on logistical and administrative matters
- Maintain training records, compliance tracking, drug testing files, and SOP binders
- Track unit compliance metrics and flag overdue training or statistical discrepancies
- Maintain inventory, maintenance records, and calibration logs for breathalyzer equipment
- Prepare specimen shipping manifests and packaging for official inspection prior to shipment
- Draft proposed updates to local administrative instructions for SACO approval
- Provide weekly written progress reports and attend weekly coordination meetings
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Marine Corps Substance Abuse Program operations (urinalysis, prevention, treatment referral processes) per MCO 5300.17
- Working familiarity with DODI 1010.01, DODI 1010.16, and SECNAV 5300.28E (or ability to rapidly attain)
- Strong administrative, data entry, records management, and report writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Camp Lejeune base access — must pass background screening (no felony convictions within 10 years, no outstanding warrants, no registered sex offender status, and related installation access criteria)
- Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance meeting NC minimums (for base access)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior service as a Marine Corps SACO, Urinalysis Program Coordinator (UPC), or unit S-1/admin clerk
- Direct experience with military drug testing portals (e.g., iFTDTL/WebDTP) and Navy Drug Screening Laboratory (NDSL) procedures
- Veterans or military spouse strongly encouraged to apply
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 0800–1600 (40 hrs/week)
- Occasional adjusted hours for testing events (~6x/month) and approximately one Saturday per month (workweek adjusted accordingly — no unpaid overtime)
- Federal holidays observed (11 paid holidays)
