Overview

Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to foster a motivated and high-performing environment
- Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to ensure optimal product availability
- Manage sales activities by setting targets, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to boost retail sales and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, facilitate training & development programs, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory control to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate marketing initiatives within the store to increase foot traffic and promote new products or promotions
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work culture
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in retail math, sales management software, POS systems, inventory management tools, and basic bookkeeping practices
- Demonstrated ability to handle negotiations with vendors or suppliers and manage purchasing activities effectively
- Experience with retail sales techniques such as merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional marketing
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or wireless sales is a plus but not required; a passion for retail excellence is essential
