Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Electrical Journeymen with a current Oklahoma Unlimited Electrical Journeyman License to support the electrical integration and installation of data center equipment.
This position focuses on medium-voltage electrical systems, equipment and skid hookups, terminations, cable tray installation, and system testing. The ideal candidate has a strong commercial or industrial electrical background, understands electrical prints and schematics, and is comfortable working around energized and high-voltage equipment.
This is primarily an electrical integration and termination project and is not a conduit-heavy position.
Required Experience & Skills
- Current Oklahoma Unlimited Electrical Journeyman License required
- Previous commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Experience performing electrical terminations and equipment hookups
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications
- Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safe work practices
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical installation and integration issues
- Comfortable working in an industrial and data center construction environment
- Strong attention to detail and electrical code compliance
- Ability to work overtime as required by project demands
- Must provide steel-toe or composite-toe work boots
- Dependable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installation and integration of data center equipment and skids
- Complete electrical equipment and power hookups according to project specifications
- Perform medium-voltage terminations as assigned
- Install and work with cable tray systems
- Route and organize electrical cabling according to drawings and project requirements
- Read and follow electrical prints, schematics, diagrams, and project documentation
- Assist with electrical system testing, verification, and startup activities
- Troubleshoot electrical installation and equipment connection issues
- Verify completed work meets applicable electrical codes and project requirements
- Work safely around energized and high-voltage electrical equipment
- Coordinate with electricians, supervisors, and other project personnel to maintain project schedules
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all site-specific safety procedures and electrical requirements
- Perform additional electrical integration duties as assigned
Medium-Voltage & Integration Work
This project may include:
- Medium-voltage electrical systems
- Medium-voltage terminations
- Data center equipment integration
- Electrical skid hookups
- Power and equipment connections
- Cable tray installation
- Electrical testing and verification
- Troubleshooting electrical connections and installation issues
Important Project Note
This position is primarily focused on electrical integration, terminations, cable tray, and equipment hookups.
Candidates looking specifically for conduit-heavy electrical construction work should be aware that conduit installation is not the primary focus of this project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medium-voltage electrical experience
- Previous data center electrical experience
- Industrial equipment integration experience
- Experience with electrical skids and packaged equipment
- Advanced termination and equipment hookup experience
- Experience performing electrical testing and verification
- Strong troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic abilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and electrical installation work
- Ability to safely use electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation equipment
- Comfortable working around energized electrical equipment and medium-voltage systems
- Ability to perform physically active electrical work throughout a 12-hour shift
- Steel-toe or composite-toe work boots required
Work Environment
- Industrial and data center construction environment
- Work performed at project locations in Noble and Mid-America Business Park, Oklahoma
- Regular interaction with medium-voltage systems, cable tray, electrical skids, and data center equipment
- Extended project hours with overtime as required
- Safety-sensitive environment requiring strict compliance with electrical codes, project procedures, and PPE requirements
