Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to lead and oversee the dietary operations within our healthcare facility. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that incorporate nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and individual preferences for residents or patients
- Supervise and coordinate the dietary department team, including dietitians, cooks, and support staff, ensuring high standards of service and safety
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate nutrition interventions, including specialized procedures such as tube feeding and diagnostic evaluations
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring meals meet quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee budgeting, inventory management, and procurement to optimize resources while controlling costs
- Educate residents or patients on health coaching topics related to nutrition, lifestyle changes, and overall wellness
- Maintain detailed documentation of care plans, meal records, and dietary assessments to support quality assurance and regulatory audits
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential from an accredited organization
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities or healthcare settings with a focus on patient assessment and nutrition management
- Strong knowledge of physiology, dietetics, and clinical nutrition practices including tube feeding procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in dietary departments or related fields
- Familiarity with care planning processes and the development of individualized nutrition strategies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets effectively
- Knowledge of health regulations, safety standards, and best practices in food service management
- Ability to perform detailed diagnostic evaluations and adapt care plans accordingly
