Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and engaging in meaningful conversations about our products.
- Educate customers on product details, including strains, consumption methods, effects, and proper usage.
- Conduct product demonstrations and tastings when appropriate to enhance customer experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting inventory counts to ensure product availability.
- Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products.
- Uphold compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and age restrictions.
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, handle cash drawers responsibly, and perform daily balancing of sales.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information remotely.
- Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily store operations as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including strain types, effects, and consumption methods.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and connect with diverse customers.
- Proven experience in retail sales, cash register operations, and cashiering procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally.
- Ability to upsell products tactfully while respecting customer preferences.
