Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver top-tier climate control solutions across commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, plumbing connections, and refrigeration components using hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct comprehensive equipment troubleshooting to identify root causes of system failures and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and maintaining proper documentation for refrigerant recovery.
- Collaborate with property managers or clients to deliver exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing maintenance recommendations.
- Assist in the installation of new HVAC systems following safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, inspections, repairs, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Support building automation system adjustments to optimize energy use and indoor climate conditions.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in construction with a focus on mechanical systems repair.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing systems, boiler operation, and building automation controls.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues using hand tools and diagnostic meters such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and design plans accurately for effective repairs or installations.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to electrical systems or property maintenance are a plus.
- Construction experience or prior work in property maintenance is advantageous for understanding building infrastructure requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or property owners.
