Travel RN - GI/Endoscopy

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and procedural sedation competency.

Work in the Endoscopy/GI lab of an acute care hospital setting
Unit features 3 procedure bays handling 15-30 procedures per day
Common cases include ERCP, EGD, PEGs, and all types of scopes, with occasional GI procedures performed in the OR and some bronchoscopies with RT support
Uses Cerner EMR
Charge Nurse role is held by a Supervisor
8-hour day shifts with varied start times between 07:00-10:00 depending on case schedule
Call required, including 2 weekday call shifts per week and 2 weekend days per month
Call hours are Monday-Friday 1500-0700 and Saturday/Sunday 0700-0700
Weekend and holiday coverage is call-only
No floating required
In-house Hospitalist/Intensivist coverage available on-call after hours
RT and Pharmacy support available 24/7
No IV Team support

Active CA RN license required
BSN required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Procedural sedation competency test required
Acute care hospital experience required
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Provide direct nursing care in a busy GI/Endoscopy lab supporting a variety of scope procedures
Floor-specific orientation lasts approximately one week or until comfortable
Facility provides scrubs
