POSITION: Bartender

SUMMARY: Queen Jayne's offers expertly crafted cocktails, small plates, and an elevated bourbon and spirits menu in Somers Point. We're looking for a passionate and dependable bartender to join our Team!
Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. The drink matters, but so does how it's made and how it's delivered — with warmth, attention, and genuine care for the guest. We're looking for someone who sees bartending as a craft worth getting better at, and who brings that same mindset to how they treat people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve our full cocktail menu with precision, including associated prep work (batching, juicing, syrups, garnishes, etc.)
- Follow our classic cocktail recipes exactly — a Queen Jayne's Old Fashioned should taste the same no matter who's behind the bar
- Use jiggers and proper measuring techniques on every drink, every time — no free-pouring
- Maintain a clean and organized bar throughout service
- Create a genuinely warm, welcoming experience for every guest — remembering that hospitality is just as much a part of the job as the drink itself
- Stay engaged with guests, read the room, and adjust service to what people need
- Handle POS transactions and cash handling accurately
- Communicate effectively with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience bartending craft cocktails, including the prep work involved (not just pouring beer and wine)
- Strong understanding of classic cocktail technique and recipe standards
- Comfortable using jiggers and committed to consistency over "eyeballing it"
- A genuine love of hospitality — this isn't just a technical role, it's a people role
- A mindset of continuous improvement — willing to refine technique, take feedback, and keep growing as a bartender
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be 18+
