World Of Words (WOW) Early Intervention & Speech Therapy, Inc. is looking for a part-time Bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) / Early Interventionist (EI) to provide speech therapy & specialized instruction early intervention services to clients in San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, and Pacifica. This would include working with clients at our center in San Francisco, as well as working with clients in their homes, daycares, or preschools. The position would start with 6-8 hours per week, and we would build up your caseload to either a part-time 2-3 days/week position or up to a full-time position, based on your preference. The position is a combination of SLPA and EI work.
As a SLPA, you would provide individual speech/language therapy services, under the supervision of a licensed SLP, to children (3-5 years of age) receiving speech therapy services through their insurance. The position would also include working with young children (under 3 years of age) and their parents/caregivers (e.g., while helping run speech therapy groups together with a licensed SLP), at our early learning center in San Francisco.
As an EI, you would be working with young children (under 3 years of age) and their parents/caregivers providing specialized instruction in all areas of development, at the child's home/daycare, in San Francisco and/or San Mateo counties, as well as help run EI group sessions at our early learning center.
Job qualifications:
- Bilingual – fluent in Spanish & English
- Bachelor's degree and graduation from a speech-language pathology assistant program
- Must possess a valid license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board
- Experience working with toddlers & preschoolers preferred
- Experience working with families and/or parents preferred
Other job requirements:
- Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance
- Must possess or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
- Must have reliable transportation (including CA driver's license & insurance)
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Client rate: $50.00 per hour
