Job Overview

Duties
- Operate industrial laundry machines, including large dryers and washing units, to process linens, uniforms, and other textiles
- Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric to ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed
- Handle materials carefully using manual handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely when loading or unloading bulky laundry loads or equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of laundry machinery to ensure optimal operation and report any maintenance needs
- Follow safety standards in production environments to maintain a secure workspace for all team members
Skills
- Proven experience with cleaning and laundry operations in a commercial or hospitality setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of materials handling and manual handling techniques for heavy or bulky items
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and injuries
- Ability to operate industrial dryers and other laundry equipment efficiently
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus but not required
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality control throughout the laundry process
- Good physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
