Construction Estimator
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a respected construction management and engineering services firm in the Minot, ND area, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their growing team! This is an onsite, full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to support a variety of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
Construction Estimator Job Summary:
- Pay: $32-$45 an hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite in Minot, ND
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop project budgets, cost reports, and competitive proposals
- Support preconstruction planning, scheduling, and procurement activities
- Collaborate with project managers, field teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Utilize estimating software and project management tools to support project execution
Construction Estimator Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Construction Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred
- 3-5 years of construction estimating experience required
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Proficiency with construction estimating software and project management systems
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
