The Medical Practice Assistant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple physician offices and will act as a liaison between administration, office personnel and physicians. This position will supervise clinical and administrative personnel and assign and monitor tasks and responsibilities . The successful manager will also monitor financial indicators and performance of office in keeping with the mission of Primary Care Associates
Responsibilities and Duties
The Assistant Practice Manager may perform the following duties:
Effective hiring, orientation and training of personnel to include the management and mentor-ship of staff, implement ongoing employee engagement activities, manage turnover
Communicates goals and objectives, financial performance, and other defined performance objectives with physicians and associates.
Support the practice in participation of organizational, regional and governmental quality programs
Demonstrate proficiency in front and back office processes.
Payroll Processing.
Manage conflicts in the office, timely addressing and documentation of performance and behavior concerns.
Conduct on going performance management activities, including training, coaching and development. Conduct meaningful annual and initial work period performance evaluations.
Promote the growth of the practice through strategic thinking and execution while monitoring and evaluating all areas of compliance to ensure standards are met.
Manage office based components of the Revenue Cycle while working collaboratively with the Central Billing Office to manage billing and collection activities.
Demonstrate general understanding of insurance reimbursement policies, and proficient knowledge of coding policies.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Experience: Three to Five years prior medical office management preferred.
Other Skills: Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and Insurance Billing
Proficiency in front and back office system processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
