Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly, ensuring cleanliness and organization for incoming guests
- Assist servers by bussing dishes, refilling water glasses, and delivering food orders with speed and accuracy
- Safely handle food and beverage items during service, adhering to food safety standards and proper manual handling practices
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Carry heavy trays or equipment using safe lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and disposing of trash in designated areas
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and guest needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including bussing or food running roles
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently
- Experience with food safety certifications or culinary background is advantageous
- In-person customer service skills that foster guest satisfaction and positive dining experiences
- Ability to work quickly in a high-energy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous banquet or catering experience is beneficial but not required
