Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have professional meat cutting experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing quality service. You will be responsible for cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparing various types of meat, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and delivering a superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, and prepare meat using knives, saws, and other tools.
- Provide custom cuts based on customer preferences and specifications.
- Ensure all meat is properly labeled, wrapped, and stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and cutting room.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
- Assist customers in selecting products and answering any related questions.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional meat cutting or butcher experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of different cuts of meat and processing techniques.
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with band saws and other meat-cutting equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
